The Senate spent this week debating a bill to limit the amount of property that a foreign adversary or corporations controlled by a foreign adversary can purchase in South Carolina (S. 576). South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority Executive Director Bonnie Ammons recently shared that anticipated SC Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP) awards announcements will be delayed.

The South Carolina General Assembly is actively considering an additional allocation of $586 million for the SCIIP program from the remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) balance.
