2024 SCAC Scholarship Program Accepting Applications
The SC Association of Counties (SCAC) is thrilled to announce that our annual scholarship program is now open for applications. This program is designed to support the aspirations of promising students in South Carolina who are pursuing higher education.
The SCAC Scholarship Program offers financial assistance to students to help them achieve their educational goals. One-time $2,500 scholarships are available to one student each from Pickens, Clarendon, Kerhaw, Laurens, and Marion counties, and are open to students who have shown dedication, leadership, and a strong commitment to their communities.
Key details of the scholarship program:
- Eligibility: Graduating high-school senior from Pickens, Clarendon, Kershaw, Laurens, or Marion counties planning to attend a South Carolina college, university or technical college.
- Application Deadline: February 1, 2024
- Award Amount: Five $2,500 one-time scholarships, one for each county
- Application Process: Interested candidates can apply online.
- Selection Criteria: The scholarship recipients will be chosen based on academic achievements, community involvement, and the quality of their essay.
