Total exceeds $1.4 billion; funds water and sewer projects statewide

The SC Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) awarded  219 grants, totaling $1.469 billion, to local governments and public water and sewer utilities under the SC Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP).

These program funds were allocated to RIA by the General Assembly from the federal American Rescue Plan Act.

SCIIP grants will modernize and upgrade critical facilities that will have far-reaching impacts for years to come.
