The SC Transportation Infrastructure Bank announced a new Rural Project Program designed to allocate $250 million in financial assistance for eligible projects over 10 years. 

The first application period is March 18 to May 17. 

A rural project is:

  • located in a county with a population of 115,000 or less; or
  • in a county with a population between 115,000 to 200,000 if at least 75 percent of the project is outside a Metropolitan Planning Organization Study Area.
