On August 12, the U.S. Census Bureau released additional 2020 Census results showing an increase in the population of U.S. metro areas compared to a decade ago. In addition, these once-a-decade results showed the nation’s diversity in how people identify their race and ethnicity. For more information, visit the U.S. Census website.

SCAC has drafted a sample resolution for counties to consider adopting in support of a legislative solution to the recent Burns decision that is imperiling county user fees throughout South Carolina. The association is providing this sample resolution so that counties can send a consistent message to their legislative delegation in hopes of achieving a legislative fix to this issue.
