SCAC is proud to have launched its second online course as part of the Institute of Government. Orientation to County Government II is now available online. This course continues serving as an excellent primer on county government, after Orientation to County Government I. The course takes approximately one and a half hours to complete and includes several quizzes to reinforce the user's learning. Upon completion, the participant is granted three hours of Level I Institute credit. Additionally, this online version is free to county officials.

Counties are in the midst of trying to finalize budgets for FY2020-2021 and need information regarding the COVID-19 financial implications on state and local revenues and expenditures. SCAC hosted a virtual meeting on Thursday, April 9th at 4:00 p.m. to discuss state and local revenue projections and budgetary implications.
