The Local Government Leadership Institute (LGLI) is currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 class that will begin in September. The purpose of the program is to provide a skill-building educational experience for new and potential executive-level managers in South Carolina local governments. The program is intended to prepare the participants to affect change in their counties or municipalities, and ultimately to improve the communities in which they live.

The National Park Service is accepting applications for $5 million in grants to support the preservation of historic buildings in rural communities across the country that are listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
