SCOR Hosts Pathways to Hazard Resilience Workshops

The SC Office of Resilience (SCOR) will be holding informational workshops throughout the state to talk about the Statewide Resilience Plan and how local and regional agencies and organizations can implement resilience in their communities.

The meetings will provide an opportunity for local government officials and other stakeholders to meet SCOR staff and learn more about the recently released Statewide Resilience Plan, the history and mission of SCOR, and how the plan can assist local governments. The plan is intended to serve as a framework to guide investment in flood mitigation projects and the adoption of programs and policies to protect the people and property of South Carolina from the damage and destruction of extreme weather events. With the release of the plan, SCOR seeks to further statewide resilience efforts by coordinating at the federal, state and local levels.
