With three days left in the regular session, the House amended the Senate version of the state budget, which passed two weeks ago. This version of the House budget includes earmarks or community investments. The House also amended the Sine Die Resolution to allow the General Assembly to reconvene after adjournment to address redistricting the state’s congressional districts.
Meanwhile, the Senate advanced bills that would increase poll worker take-home pay and to streamline the business personal property tax collection process. These and other bills of interest to counties are detailed in the Friday Report.
