Webinar on Zoning and Land Use Considerations for Data Centers
SCAC is hosting a webinar to explore zoning and land use tools to manage the impact of data centers. This webinar, to be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 17, will help local government officials better understand the importance of planning and zoning to regulate the location and operation of data centers in their communities.
Registration(opens in a new tab) is free and participation will satisfy 1.5 hours of the continuing education requirement for planning and zoning officials governed by the South Carolina Planning Education Advisory Committee (SCPEAC). On completion of the webinar, participants will receive a certificate of attendance via the email used for registration.
Handouts will be sent to the registration email one to two business days prior to the webinar.
Group Viewings: Officials may receive continuing education credit for a group viewing of the live webinar. The group's facilitator must register for the webinar and be physically present during the viewing in order to track and report attendance to SCAC. Certificates of attendance will be emailed to the group facilitator.

Another 1.5 hour webinar was offered in June, which, taken in combination with this webinar, will satisfy the full 3-hour continuing education requirement for planning and zoning officials governed by SCPEAC.
