New Institute Classes Available Online

SCAC is proud to announce two new online courses available now in The Institute of Government for County Officials (Institute)!

The first is Managing and Conducting Meetings, which is a Level I Elective that not only provides 3 hours of credit in the Institute, but also meets the requirements to provide 3 hours of Planning & Zoning Continuing Education credit for those that must meet this annual requirement. The goal of this course is to help county officials, employees, and board members conduct and participate in successful meetings. Focus is given to parliamentary procedure.

The second course now available is The Policy Role of Council, which is a Level II course that provides 3 hours of Institute credit upon completion. This course is designed to help council members understand and carry out their responsibility as the elected policy-making body.
