Infrastructure Grant Funding Available; Deadline Feb. 28

The Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program helps communities carry out transportation projects with significant local or regional impact.  The application deadline is Feb. 28, 2023.

RAISE grants are awarded by U.S. Department of Transportation and are evaluated on statutory criteria of safety, environmental sustainability, quality of life, mobility and community connectivity, economic competitiveness and opportunity including tourism, state of good repair, partnership and collaboration, and innovation. For example, Greenville Transit Authority was awarded $5.8 million in 2022 for construction of its Greenlink bus stop infrastructure.  The RAISE grant program was previously known as the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) and Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Discretionary Grants.
