Spotlight: Mark McKinney

SCAC’s Team Spotlight is on Mark McKinney. Mark serves as Property and Casualty Claims Manager for the association’s Property and Liability Insurance Trust. Mark’s wealth of insurance experience is a tremendous asset to the association and its member counties. His commitment to quick response on claims results in savings for the counties, both in the amount of the claim and in the time and effort of the county employee.

When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Mark says, “My passion is working with my litigation team in resolving claims for the counties. I also enjoy working with different structures of an insurance pool to give our member counties the best price and coverage for insurance needs.”

Mark’s colleagues describe him as extremely knowledgeable, persuasive, quick with a joke, and always brings a smile to the faces of those around him. In his free time, he enjoys making live edge tables and spending time in his cabin in the North Georgia mountains. He also enjoys traveling with his friends and children and rooting for the Gamecocks.
