Chris brings more than 23 years of claims experience to the association. Prior to joining SCAC’s insurance staff in 2019, he worked with State Farm Fire & Casualty and the S.C. Insurance Reserve Fund. Chris is exceptionally organized, responsive, and insightful. He is very involved with his family and enjoys surprising his co-workers from time to time with his sense of humor.
When asked how the association’s insurance team impacts our counties, Chris explains:
“Our goal is to provide efficient and accurate claims handling. For our insureds that means their damaged property is out of service for a shorter length of time or can be quickly replaced when necessary. We also want to provide the same level of service to claimants when our members are at-fault in an accident, hopefully to help maintain or restore a positive image of the member in the mind of the claimant. A fair and efficient claims resolution achieved early can reduce the number of claims that end up in litigation, which saves money for the trust and ultimately our members.”
