2027 SCAC Scholarships
Presidential Scholarship
Each year, SCAC's Presidential Scholarship Program awards one $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is a resident of the same county as our SCAC President. Since Calhoun County Council Vice Chairman Cecil M. Thornton Jr. is the current SCAC President, our 2027 Presidential Scholarship will be awarded to a Calhoun County resident.
Board of Directors Scholarships
Over the course of four years, on a rotating basis, the Board of Directors Scholarship program will award a $5,000 scholarship to one graduating high school senior from each of South Carolina's 46 counties. For 2027, 12 Board of Directors Scholarships will be awarded. A resident from each of the following counties will be selected to receive a $5,000 Board of Director's scholarship: Allendale, Chesterfield, Florence, Georgetown, Lancaster, Lexington, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Saluda, Spartanburg and Williamsburg Counties.
