Registration is Open for SCAC's Annual Conference & Institute of Government

The South Carolina Association of Counties is pleased to announce it will host the Annual Conference and Institute of Government at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms from July 31-August 3, 2023.

Registration

There are three ways to register:

Register online and choose to pay with a credit card or use the "Bill Me" feature.
Send your completed registration form to register@scac.sc and mail your check.
Mail your paper registration form and check.

Payment must be received at the SCAC Office within 48 hours of online registration. Registrants will receive the Wild Dunes Resort reservation link within two business days of receiving the completed registration form. Therefore, SCAC recommends either registering online or via email.

Included Food and Beverages

The Institute of Government registration fee covers the cost of coffee/beverage breaks (Monday morning/afternoon and Tuesday morning) and a boxed lunch (Monday) for Institute participants (registered guests are not included).

The registration fee for the Annual Conference covers the cost of coffee/beverage breaks offered in the Exhibit Hall (Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday morning and afternoon), President’s/Corporate Partners’ Reception, breakfast (Wednesday), and the 2023 Closing Reception for delegates and their registered guest. All guests must be pre-registered in order to attend.

Name Badges

Name badges will be required at all SCAC events and meetings.

Room Block Information

In order to maximize the room block for registered county officials, SCAC must receive a completed registration before the Wild Dunes Resort reservation link will be sent (within two business days).

Institute of Government registrants will receive the reservation link FIRST via email within two business days of SCAC receiving the registration.
County officials registering for the Annual Conference ONLY will receive the Wild Dunes Resort reservation information the first week in April or within two business days if the registration is received April 3 or after.
One room per registrant. If more than one room is reserved for the same individual, it is subject to immediate cancellation.

Hotel Reservations

Wild Dunes Resort: A reservation link will be sent to registered county officials only within TWO BUSINESS DAYS of registering for either the Institute of Government or the Annual Conference. Institute of Government registrants will receive the link first. County officials registering for the Annual Conference ONLY will receive the Wild Dunes Resort reservation link the first week in April or within two business days if registration is received April 3 or after. Please note that only individuals who are REGISTERED to attend will be able to book accommodations. Cancellation: Reservations canceled less than seven days prior to arrival will be charged the one night’s room deposit due at booking. The balance will be due at check-in.

Overflow Accommodations

Overflow accommodations include the Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and Residence Inn Charleston Mt. Pleasant. Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from Wild Dunes Resort.
