Dorchester County's Risk Management Efforts Recognized by SC Counties Insurance Trusts

Congratulations to Dorchester County Government's Risk Management team for its excellent work. The county recently won several awards from the SC Counties Insurance Trusts for their risk management efforts, including:

• Outstanding Safety Achievement Award  to Dorchester County Parks and Recreation for their joint “Splash into Safety” program with Colleton County Parks and Recreation, Summerville Medical Center, Summerville Family YMCA and Dorchester School District 4
• Most Improved County Award, which is given to the county who has shown the most improvement in their risk management and safety program during the past year.

Each year the SC Counties Insurance Trusts recognize counties who have made significant achievements in their risk management and safety programs. Awards are announced at the annual Insurance Trusts meeting in the winter, and SC Association of Counties representatives travel to present the awards to county councils statewide throughout the spring.
