Annual Conference Registration
The South Carolina Association of Counties will hold its 42nd Annual Conference for county officials from July 30–Aug. 2, 2009 at the Hilton Head Marriott on Hilton Head Island. Classes for the Institute of Government will be held July 29–30.
The Annual Conference registration fee covers the cost of coffee breaks, receptions and the 2009 Annual Banquet for delegates and their spouses. Registration for a county delegate is $365 until Friday, July 17; after that date and on-site, the fee is $390. There is no additional charge for a spouse or guest to attend the Annual Banquet. Tickets must be purchased for children who want to attend the Annual Banquet with their parents. These tickets will be sold at the registration desk at actual cost, if available.
Payment Policy
The conference registration fee must be received before a registration can be processed. Registration fees in the form of a check should be made payable to the South Carolina Association of Counties. Payment for a faxed or electronic registration must be received at the SCAC office within 48 hours after submitting the form. We do not accept credit card payments.
Cancellations
To cancel a registration, you must notify the SCAC office in writing. Registrations canceled by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 17, will be assessed a $25 service charge. After this date, no refunds will be made—no exceptions.
Hotel Information
The conference room rate at the Marriott is $195.81 per night for a room, single or double. The deadline for reservations is Sunday, June 28. No reservations will be taken over the telephone. Space is limited. Registering prior to the cut-off date does not guarantee a room reservation. If you have questions, please contact Nilda Padgett at 1-800-922-6081.
Betty T. Roper Elected Women Officials' Luncheon
All elected women officials are invited to attend and participate in the Elected Women Officials' Luncheon on Friday, July 31. The registration fee for this event is $40 per person. There will be no on-site registration, and no refunds will be given after Friday, July 17.
