Renewed citizen and press attention at meetings has brought a new focus on how local government bodies conduct the public’s business. SCAC will host a 2-part webinar series that will discuss the importance of the rules governing public meetings, and the role of the members of each public body. In part I of the series we will discuss the basics of rules and procedures, as well as the legal and ethical issues for members. The target audience for this webinar series is elected county council members, as well as appointed members of county boards and commissions. Registration details will follow.
