National Trust Preservation Funds encourage preservation at the local level by providing seed money for preservation projects. The grants help stimulate public discussion, enable local groups to gain the technical expertise needed for particular projects, introduce the public to preservation concepts and techniques, and encourage financial participation by the private sector. Grant amounts are $2,500 to $5,000 and the application deadline is October 2, 2017. Only members of the National Trust at the Forum or Main Street levels are eligible to apply. The South Carolina State Library will offer grants research and proposal writing classes in September, October, and November. Please visit the State Library website to learn more.
