... Building Stronger Counties for Tomorrow

Institute of Government for County Officials

Advanced Level Courses

The Advanced Level is for those county officials who have graduated from Levels I and II of the Institute of Government for County Officials and would like to continue expanding their knowledge of local government.  Two courses are offered just prior to the Association’s Annual Conference.  Unlike Levels I and II, the Advanced Level is not a certificate program, and there are no requirements to fulfill.

All courses offered are new and different from year to year and designed to provide insight on an advanced concept or to enhance county officials’ personal development.  Examples of past courses in the Advanced Level include Understanding Opinion Polls and Surveys; Stress Management; Performance Measurement in County Government; South Carolina as a Retirement State; Communicating with More Control; and Entering the Information Highway.
