the beautiful midlands of South Carolina ,
one of the largest counties in South Carolina and home of the state
capital, seeks the following:
Assistant County Administrator
(Two of Three
Positions Vacant)
Job Duties
This position is responsible for assisting the
County Administrator in coordinating programs and a diversity of
administrative/management services; integrates activities with those of
management; and assists with administrative policy decision making as
required to ensure compliance and maintain operational standards. This
position provides supervision over designated department heads–including
instructing, assigning, and reviewing work; planning; and coordinating
activities and problem resolutions. This position reviews and oversees
delegated projects and provides information and/or recommendation. The
Assistant County Administrator will also be responsible for developing
and preparing reports, conferring with department heads and County
Council, as well as representing the County at various meetings with
commissions, civic groups, and officials of other agencies.
Salary: DOQ/DOE
Requirements
This position requires a Master’s degree
in public administration, business administration, or a closely related
field with six to nine years of experience in public sector management
or administration. The successful candidate must possess a valid SC
Driver’s license.
